Objective of the course

Strengthen capacities for the transformation of socio-environmental conflicts

Each module includes reading material and evaluation questionnaires
The methodology combines the brief review of theoretical contents with the use of practical exercises and role-playing
Participants will have the opportunity to present their own conflict cases

Introduction to Sustainable Development and Governance

Introduction to the Theory of socio-environmental conflicts:
Concept of socio-environmental conflict, elements and characteristics.
Causes of Socio-environmental Conflict and Escalation Factors
Attitudes and options in the face of conflict
Module 3
Socio-environmental conflict analysis
Conflict analysis tools (stakeholder table, flow of relationships, problem tree)
Techniques to obtain the necessary information to complete the tools (stakeholder interviews, direct observation).
Module 4
Concepts and tools for incorporating the gender perspective into management plans.
Module 5
Dialogue and collaborative negotiation
Negotiation, types of negotiation, collaborative negotiation method.
Human communication (active listening, strategic questions)
